Start with one or two activities

One or two activities are a useful starting point: one optional table activity and one shared game if the parents want it. Add gift bingo only if presents will be opened. There is no required number of games; a shower with conversation, food and keepsakes can work without a timed competition.

Allow a short explanation, playing time and a few minutes to check answers. A three-minute scramble can take longer once pencils are passed out and a winner is checked. Leave that buffer in your plan instead of scheduling every minute.

Start with the parts of your party

First decide whether you are opening gifts, serving a meal, offering a diaper raffle and inviting everyone to a timed game. Those choices tell you which printables will actually be used. A small gathering may enjoy one shared game; a larger event may work better with quiet table activities.

Choose an optional arrival activity, one short game if the group wants it, and a keepsake card. Add gift bingo only when gifts will be opened at the shower.

A sample activity sequence

This is an illustrative sequence rather than a researched standard. Keep it flexible, and skip any step that interrupts a good conversation.

  • As guests arrive: leave prediction or advice cards at the seats.
  • Once everyone has settled: explain a word scramble and offer a three-minute round.
  • During gift opening: play gift bingo alongside the unwrapping.
  • Before guests leave: draw the diaper-raffle winner and collect keepsakes.

Keep the preparation small

Print the same word-game sheet for everyone and keep its answer key with the host. For filled bingo, choose different cards. For advice and predictions, extra copies of the same design are fine. Cut the cards and put pencils out before the event.

The complete set is designed to collect those pieces into one file, with a host sheet explaining what each page is for. Every individual printable is also available free in the maker.

Let the parents set the tone

Ask whether they would enjoy reading advice aloud, comparing predictions or simply taking the cards home. Do not surprise them with a performance or a public competition they would rather skip.

If the group is still chatting when a planned game time arrives, leave the game on the table. A printed activity can be useful without an announcement. Your plan has done its job when the party feels easy to host.
